With her down-to-earth approach to food, and a dash or two of snark, Liza enjoys eating, reading, cooking, dining and writing on a daily basis. By day, she's an insurance professional, by night she gracefully (or not sometimes) barrels through life keeping up with her blog (a)Musing Foodie, her kids, her husband, and whatever else happens to fill her plate.
Liza has spent the past 10 years living in Frederick, absorbing the growing art, culture and foodie scene. As a 2011 graduate of Leadership Frederick County, she also had the eye-opening experience of seeing into Frederick's future: a world where agriculture, economic development, non-profit, and art worlds come together to make Frederick the best place to work, live and raise a family.
A graduate of Salisbury State University (before it lost the “State”), this English Major has spent time in a variety of places up and down the East Coast, her favorite being two fabulous years living in Savannah, Georgia. Happily settled in Frederick, loving the downtown vibe, Liza and her husband Todd (a Frederick native), are raising two happy kids.
Arbitrary Facts / Bucket List
- Used to be a red wine snob, but lost the taste for it after having kids. Now an avid tart, crisp, chilled white wine drinker - give her a glass of pinot grigio and she might love you forever.
- Plans to write a novel in the next five years.
- Will one day do an eating tour of Europe, hitting Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, and France – no kids allowed.
- Addicted to Facebook and Twitter.
