Ridiculous.  For once I am on McDonald’s side.

 

Why in the world would I side with every mother’s culinary nemesis?

Crazy, right?

 

The Center for Science in the Public Interest filed a class action lawsuit today, along with Monet Parham, a Sacramento mom of two, against McDonald’s, accusing them marketing their Happy Meal toys to children in order to lure them into the restaurants.


The group actually compared McDonald's with a child molester in one of their statements, "McDonald's is the stranger in the playground handing out candy to children. It's a creepy and predatory practice that warrants an injunction."


Why is this McDonald’s fault? Can’t the mom in question just SAY NO?

 

Apparently not.

 

Parham is quoted as saying, “As other busy, working moms and dads know, we have to say ‘no’ to our young children so many times, and McDonald’s makes that so much harder to do. I object to the fact that McDonald’s is getting into my kids’ heads without my permission and actually changing what my kids want to eat.”

 

Really, lady? Why doesn’t anyone take responsibility for anything anymore? You are the ADULT. They are the CHILDREN. (Just a reminder.)

 

 Anyone else getting sick of ridiculous lawsuits?
