The Historical Society of Frederick County’s monthly Learning Lunch program on Thursday, Aug. 2, will focus on digitizing old photographs. Rebecca Cargo, Historical Society research center coordinator, will lead the one-hour program.
The session will explore the process of digitizing photos, discussing the selection of images, techniques, setting standards, storage, and organization. The issues involved with beginning a digitization project also will be discussed. Participants are encouraged to share their questions and comments.
Upcoming topics include preserving and restoring historic masonry on Sept. 6, and genealogy basics on Oct. 4.
Learning Lunches are offered the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Museum of Frederick County History, 24 E. Church St. The casual programs are free and open to the public. Participants may bring a lunch if they wish.
