Thanksgiving Day is a day of traditions. The most typical, of course, is the family gathered around the dining room table ready to feast on roasted turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, along with all the other traditional side dishes. But for a variety of reasons, some families prefer to celebrate Thanksgiving at a restaurant. Reasons include they don’t have room to fit the entire family or they just don’t want to deal with the dishes.
Leigh Sutton of Walkersville explains, “I’m a single father. It’s just my daughter and me. Preparing Thanksgiving dinner takes a lot of time and effort. Instead, we eat out some place nice and make a day trip out of it. This way we can enjoy the spirit of the day without the extra work.”

- Dutch’s Daughter will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving buffet in the two upper floors of the restaurant and a sit down dinner in the lower level, called The Dungeon. However, please note that only regular menu entrees will be available in The Dungeon.
- Thanksgiving buffet seating times are still available at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sit down dinner reservations in The Dungeon are still being accepted between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Thanksgiving buffet price: Adult $36.95 per person, children ages 6-12 are $22.95, 5 years and under $3. Regular menu entrees are menu priced.
- Reservations required for both the Thanksgiving buffet and the sit down dinner.
Dutch's Daughter also features a special Thanksgiving-To-Go menu for those people wanting to dine at home, but not toil away in the kitchen all day. The cost is $20 per person and there is a 10-guest minimum with a 24-hour advance notice. The menu includes roasted turkey, baked ham, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, sauerkraut or green beans, salad, fresh baked rolls, and homemade pumpkin pie.
