For many young people, the four (or more) years they spend in college will define their futures: their careers, the teams they will root for, the songs that will forever trigger powerful memories and the friends they will keep for a lifetime.
And yes, their alma maters may also play prominently in their weddings, since many couples meet and fall in love among the hallowed halls of learning.
Jessi and JJ Culyer were married on the campus of Mount St. Mary’s in the picturesque Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. The chapel opened its doors in 1910, nearly 100 years after Rev. John DuBois founded the school in 1808. Considered by many to be the focal point of the university’s campus, it recently underwent a four-year renovation. There are numerous other chapels on the campus that can serve as wedding venues as well, including the Mary Queen of Peace Chapel and St. Mary’s Chapel on the Hill at the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes.
