Free Something Good Event Offered in Frederick

Use your power for good!
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, the local chapters of the Social Media Club, AIGA, and the Frederick Web Technology Group will collaborate to present Something Good.
The free seminar will demonstrate how (and why) to bring the disciplines of design, social media and technology together in a powerful way to do "good stuff" in and for the Frederick community and beyond. A panelist from each discipline will give a brief presentation, which will be followed up by a moderated discussion and an opportunity for the panelists to answer questions from the audience.
And in the spirit of “doing good,” those who attend are encouraged to bring new or gently used children’s footwear to benefit the Toasty Tootsies organization. Toasted Tootsies collects and ships warm footwear for children in Afghanistan. A donation box will be available at the event for drop-off.
Prior to and following the event there will be networking, snacks, and refreshments. Those interested may register at: http://somethinggood.eventbrite.com/ The event runs from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and will be held at the Residence Inn of Frederick.
